When Devin Medley tried for his first theatrical production, "Oliver" at the age of 7 years, she indicated that she belonged to the theater.

The deputy director asked all the girls to audition for that production would be ready to cut their hair for the role of a boy.

Medley is the only one who shot his hand.

Alhough the answer may not be exactly the same today, Medley, now 16 and plays Dorothy in the Lamar State College-Port Arthur and Port Arthur Little Theatre summer production of "The Wizard of Oz" would yet do nothing to prepare for a role.
